Patio door security
Patio and conservatory doors are vulnerable to break-in. It might sound obvious, but never leave them open or unlocked unless you are actually in the conservatory, or on the patio.
If you are having patio, French or conservatory doors fitted, consider using laminated glass for extra security. Make sure that any sliding section is fitted on the inside, so that it cannot be levered off its track, and also request that anti-lifting blocks are fitted.
Fit adequate locks: mortice security bolts at the top and bottom, with removable keys, or a good multi-locking system.
